We are mother and daughter, Pamela & Tamsyn and we both have a great passion for making needle felted faery folk, mermaids, witches and beautiful Angels.
So where did it all begin?
We have both been interested in crafts for many years. It all started with our love of beads, going to bead fairs, searching in vintage shops and looking at them for hours on end to get inspiration to make a piece of jewellery. This paved the way to us incorporating both resin and fimo clay into our jewellery designs.
Pam has been sewing and embroidering for years, mostly self taught but also she has joined various embroidery groups in the past and has a great collection of threads, beads, lace and everything imaginable that she has obtained over the years. All of which are coming to great use now and this also explains why some of the items are unique and one off as we may not be able to source the embellishments again!
We both then started to use merino wools to wet felt and make scarves, brooches and beads; just loving the colours of the wool! It was a great fun sourcing various threads and fibres to capture in the wools. Having tried wet felting we moved on to dry felting, also known as needle felting and wow! what fun we had…
Perhaps most importantly to us we had now found an interest which enables us to combine all the wonderful crafts we love into one! Our beautiful creations do not have faces, allowing you to use your own imagination to interpret their facial expression as you wish. This is in the Waldorf tradition.
We hope you love the fairies, mermaids and angels as much as we do! Each one is individual and hopefully will find a special home.
